Setting up the Birmingham Revolutionary Radical
1979
After
the Revolutionary Feminist Conference in Leeds, Trisha and Stacey and a
couple of others set up a revolutionary feminist group which lasted
around five years. “Almost everyone in it was a lesbian, there was one
woman I remember who wasn’t and one who had relationships with men
although she identified as a lesbian, and I remember there were women
who identified with the politics, but had relationships with men, they
were welcome but we weren’t going to take responsibility if they felt
uncomfortable about what we said about women’s relationships with men”.
