"That growing awareness of sexual politics, and things like Germaine Greer’s book, ‘The Female Eunuch’, was very important in moving women towards fighting. Also, some American stuff, I’ve forgotten the titles, it was everywhere. If you read the Daily Mail you were absolutely bound to join the Women's Liberation Movement because it was such rubbish".
