Sensitive policing in the late '80s

Belinda recalls “The had a 12 year old boy who had been picked up for . The police were concerned that he was being exploited by older men and directed him towards the discos at The feeling that this would be a much safer venue for him even though technically he was . They felt it would be better to get him with some responsible gay people than out there where anybody could pick him up and do anything. I was quite impressed with that”.
