Being gay and a Christian
2007
“I am a Christian. One of the reasons I became involved in church was singing in the choir. I’ve gone to church in Birmingham for years and it’s not a problem. I didn’t see a conflict in my beliefs because love is a God-given gift, so does it matter who it’s between? If I’m a Christian and God allows me to do this, it can’t be wrong, because I’d be condemned to hell and damnation. He had his chance in March (when Pam survived a heart attack). It doesn’t cause my partner a problem and she’d like to be a priest.”
