Moseley
December 1969 to December 2018
Moseley is a cosmopolitan residential area three miles south of Birmingham city centre. It has a bohemian reputation and has been a popular place for gay people to settle in for many decades.
It is characterised by large Victorian villas, mansions and parks with leafy streets and its 'village' green, harking back to the days when it was a small village on the outskirts of industrial Birmingham.
The Old Moseley Arms was a popular lesbian haunt of the 70s and 80s.
