GLF Leaflet Sunday Bloody Sunday
1971
The following text is copied from a leaflet distributed by GLF members to the public at showings of the film Sunday Bloody Sunday in 1971.
THE DOCTOR (PETER FINCH) IN THEM FILM YOU HAVE JUST SEEN IS A HOMOSEXUAL.
do you think he ought to be allowed to go on being a doctor?
do you think really he should be pushed into prison?
do you think he should have got married to please his family?
do you think people like him deserve to be beaten up?
BECAUSE HOMOSEXUALS IN BIRMINGHAM NOW
LOSE THEIR JOBS
ARE ARESTED BY THE POLICE
GET BEATEN UP
MARRY BECAUSE OF PRESSURE FROM FAMILY AND SOCIETY
creating misery for themselves their wives and children.
IT IS TIME. THAT PEOPLE STOPPED DOING THINGS LIKE THIS TO PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE HOMOSEXUAL
(and if you giggled or gasped when Murray Head kissed Peter Finch then you're part of the doing too)
