Combination Therapy

Since 1996, HAART (Highly Active Anti-Retroviral Therapy), colloquially known as Combination Therapy, has been commonly available in the UK. It is simply a combination of various individual HIV drugs, providing effective treatment against the virus in the body. Whilst not a cure, the treatment has transformed the lives of positive people.
In November of the same year Birmingham hosted the 'Third International Conference on Drug Therapy in HIV Infection' at the International Convention Centre, with clinicians discussing many of the life saving combination therapies that are now commonly available in the United Kingdom.
