Black people’s attitudes to gays
A number of contributors specifically refer to negative attitudes or homophobic abuse that they have experienced from black or Asian people. Interestingly, some of these people are themselves from black, Asian or mixed parentage.
There is a suggestion both that there is denial that there could be gay people from within these ethnic or cultural backgrounds, and that it is a feature of white or Western people, although others note that it is known but not talked about, in Indian culture, for example.
